For Irish insulation and energy upgrade contractors

Every job signed off before you leave the site.

Certia puts the survey, safety paperwork, install checks, photos and customer signature for each job on your crew’s phones. It all works with no signal, and the handover pack is ready the moment the customer signs.

  • Works offline
  • Data stored in the EU
  • Built around your own forms
Example job in Certia: site survey, safety statement and install checks complete, photos attached and the customer signature captured. Saved on the phone with no signal, then synced.

The work gets done. The paperwork follows weeks later.

Most upgrade jobs are finished in a day or two. The forms, photos and signatures that prove it can take far longer, and that is where payments get held up.

  • Paper goes missing

Forms get rained on, left in the van, or filled in from memory at the end of the week.

  • Signatures get chased

The crew has moved on and the office is still ringing the customer for a signature.

  • Claims stall on one gap

One missing photo or unticked box can hold up a grant payment while the job is long finished.

One job, from first call to final signature

Each step is a form your office already knows. Certia keeps them in order and will not let a job skip a check, so nothing reaches the customer’s door half-finished.

Steps are where your team fills in a form. Checks are rules the app enforces before the job can move on.

  1. Step 1: Enquiry

Log the customer, the address and what they want done. Repeat addresses are flagged so nobody quotes the same house twice.

  2. Step 2: Site survey

Walls, attic, ventilation and risks recorded on the phone, with photos and sketches attached to the question they answer.

  3. Check enforced by the app

    Property approved

A job cannot be quoted or booked until the survey is complete and the property is marked suitable.

  4. Step 3: Quote

Areas and quantities from the survey carry straight into the quote. No retyping from paper.

  5. Step 4: Schedule

Assign the crew. The job, the address and every form they need are on their phones before they set off.

  6. Check enforced by the app

    Remedial work cleared

If the survey found remedial work, installation stays locked until each item is closed off.

  7. Step 5: Install

Safety statement, method statement and the install checksheet, one section at a time, with or without signal.

  8. Step 6: Sign-off

The customer and installer sign on the device. Each signature is timestamped and tied to the exact form version.

  9. Step 7: Handover pack

A branded PDF with every check, photo and signature, ready for the customer and for your grant claim.

Made for attics, cavities and the back of the van

Big buttons, clear screens, and nothing that depends on a good signal.

  • Works with no signal

Every answer saves to the phone the moment it is entered. When signal returns it syncs by itself, and the app always shows what is synced and what is still waiting.

  • Your forms, not ours

Your survey, safety statement and checksheet are set up in Certia with the same questions in the same order. Change a form and older jobs keep the version they were signed on.

  • Signatures with a record

Customer and installer sign on screen. Each signature records who signed, their role, when, and which version of the form they signed.

  • Photos where they belong

Take the photo from inside the question it proves. Photos upload in the background when there is signal, so the form never waits for them.

  • Handover pack in one tap

A branded PDF of the whole job: checks, photos and signatures. A fingerprint of the file is stored at sign-off, so you can show it has not been altered since.

  • Your data, kept apart

Job data is stored in the EU. Each company’s records are walled off inside the database itself, not just hidden by the app.

Starting with insulation

Certia is being built alongside an Irish insulation contractor, one method at a time. New methods and trades are added as forms and settings, so the next one does not need a different app.

  1. First

    Cavity wall

Bonded-bead cavity wall insulation, end to end.

  2. Next

    Attic

Fibreglass, cellulose and spray foam attic insulation.

  3. Later

    Other upgrades

Solar PV, heat pumps, windows and doors.

Questions installers ask

Something else? Email hello@certia.ie and you will hear back from a person.

Does it really work with no signal?

Yes. The jobs assigned to you are kept on your phone, so you can open them, fill in every form, take photos and collect signatures in an attic or a cavity with no coverage. Everything syncs when the phone is back online, and the app shows you what has and has not synced yet.

Do we need to install an app?

There is nothing to download from an app store. Certia runs in the browser on any recent phone or tablet, and you can add it to the home screen, where it opens like any other app.

Can we use our own forms?

Yes. During setup we build your existing survey, safety and install paperwork into Certia. When a form changes later, older jobs keep the version they were completed on.

Is Certia approved by SEAI?

No. Certia is independent software and is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by SEAI. It helps you capture and keep the evidence your grant work needs, but your company remains responsible for meeting each scheme’s requirements.

Where is our data stored?

Job data is stored in the EU, in Ireland, and each company’s data is kept separate inside the database. The service providers we use are listed on our subprocessors page.

See the subprocessors

What will it cost?

Certia will be a monthly subscription per company. We will publish pricing before general launch, and early access companies will hear first.

Put Certia on your next job

We are opening Certia to a small group of Irish installers first. Early access companies get:

  • Setup with your own forms and paperwork
  • A direct line to the people building it
  • A say in what gets built next
